Patrick (Paddy) Joseph McAloon (born 7 June 1957 in Durham) is an English singer/songwriter and member of the band Prefab Sprout.
He has written songs for that have been recorded by Kylie Minogue (If You Don't Love Me), Cher (The Gunman) and various songs for Jimmy Nail as well as his own band. In recent years, Paddy McAloon was diagnosed with a medical disorder that has impaired his vision.
McAloon released the spoken word/instrumental album I Trawl The Megahertz under his own name in 2003 on the EMI Liberty label.
